I’ve noticed several newcomers to this lifestyle tend to get confused about what they can eat or get bored with just eating the same old thing over and over and then there’s some that just don’t have much imagination around food and in the kitchen.

Well this is a thread for everyone to post what they eat each day.

It doesn’t matter if it’s something you eat day in and day out or if it’s something that’s unique but still in the spectrum of carnivore, post it up. It may help inspire someone to stick with their diet plan and reach their goals by introducing something new to their diet.

So, What did you eat today?

Was working hard all day trying to finish up a project I’ve been working on all week (rebuilding my smoker) and just forgot to eat.
I love it when that happens. Food no longer has dominion over me. I’m in control.

Smoked salmon fresh off the smoker for lunch today and probably tonight also.

Super probiotic yogurt (3 different lactobacillus types blended together)

I saw our first ripe strawberry in the patch this morning, so those will be rolling in for a few weeks now. I left it for the wife to find and eat in the morning. That first one for the season always seem to taste SO good.

3 lbs of grass fed NY strip @Bob

3 lbs! Wow!

I should fast all day and then see if I can rise to the challenge, lol :D

comment_12736

I might could pull off three pounds in a couple tries. LOL

Looks good.

Tonight, it was a long link of homemade summer sausage, a pound of hamburger with four fried eggs. I got the eggs and the summer sausage down and maybe half the hamburger is left.

Sometimes the dogs are big fans of me struggling to eat. LOL

Are you folks actually that hungry or are you forcing yourselves to eat those quantities of meat?

I'm 160 lbs and 5'8" tall, eating OMAD most days and do not consume anywhere near that much in one day.

It just sounds like a lot to me. I guess we are all different in how much we need

I said the same thing. We were on the video show the other night and the amounts listed had me blown away.

Tonight, I ate four eggs, a summer sausage link and maybe a 1/3 to 1/2 pound of hamburger.

The dog will get the other half pound in the morning.

With that I was stuffed. That was the part I was mentioning when I was trying to hit 200 grams of protein per day. 200g with fat for a correct ratio is way more than I can eat in a day. I'm 6'3" 215 and I can't eat the amounts the others mentioned.

Sometimes I feel like I am doing something wrong because if I ate only when hungry I would probably create another approach one step past OMAD called OMEOD (one meal every other day). It has been a really long time since I have been actually hungry.

I'm still amazed at the amounts others are able to eat and the only thing close is looking back to how much I could eat before carnivore.

I think the pound and half is my upper limit. I struggle eating beyond that limit.

Considering weight loss was my first goal and I ate by the five-gallon bucket prior to carnivore it is ironic now I want to eat more food per day after losing so much weight.

This carnivore thing is like the gift that keeps on giving.

I've done one meal every other day in the past, but prefer OMAD. I never track anything and won't be in the future either and haven't been truly hungry since starting carnivore. I find that to be a really cool effect from this WOE.

I feel that Fasting is the most powerful thing a person can do to and for their bodies. Scott, You may agree with that?

I know people that have to eat (in their minds) 3 times a day "or they get light headed" as they say 🤣. I laugh when they say that. Your mind is in control, you just have to learn to control it! It's a simple process once you learn how. Meditation practice is the key and once you learn that it only takes a few minutes per day to keep it active and going. There are many videos on YouTube and I've found one guy I follow that works great for myself. Some will work for one person and not others. I know several people that can't be hypnotized so meditation may not work for them. You have to be able to surrender your negative mind and then learn to control it with the positive part of your brain. NOT watching any news or social media is #1 for myself! I learned how to meditate many years ago from an old LP record I had called Accugenics and have maintained the skill to this very day. Just like riding a bike. once you get it, you get it for life.

I usually do a pound of ground and 3 or 4 eggs. Or bout a half pound and 5 or 6 eggs. Tonight it was two packs of four each Country Style Ribs. (pork) I still got two left. So I guess about a pound and a half ish is my usual meal.

I know we are ALL different but that amount would be two days or more for myself. If I eat 2 or 3 eggs and 2 strips of bacon in the late morning then I'm good for the day, maybe a few pork rinds or a piece of cheese later that night. I'm semi active in the summertime but not winter. Did 28 miles on the bike yesterday. 4 years in and feeling good, all meds stopped and no symptoms from my MS.

I could not do a pound of ground beef in one sitting. Over the course of a day maybe.

I just had 3 eggs scrambled in 2 TBS butter with a touch of half n half and several slices of bacon. Not stuffed, but satisfied. Oh and I think I smeegled an ounce or two of cold steak while making the family waffles.

I call it the "Secret to Life" and wish I knew about it in my 20's. I know you are physically bigger than me and you are still working for a living but I would hurl on that amount of chow 🤮🤣. Dr. Berry used to and still may say eat till you are comfortably stuffed, I don't agree with that use of words. I think the stuffed part throws peoples thinking off and they are overeating.

I'm up for several hours already today and on the 2nd cup of coffee (with a tbsp of heavy cream in each), not hungry at all and (probably) won't eat until late this afternoon. The energy from the cream will have some effect for sure. I was actually looking through the freezer for what to cook next and really wasn't impressed by anything in there. I pulled some minute steaks and a pack of beef jerky. I'll cook the minute steaks country fried style with pork panko for the breading fried in tallow and bacon grease combined.

I am firm believer in fasting. I feel like it has helped me tremendously on a number of fronts. Probably a few pounds lost. The realization the eating is probably 95% mental and 5% actually being physically hungry. Food or eating does not have to be your primary source of energy every day and there is energy to be had in your self-storage areas.

I broke 200 grams of protein down over two meals about 12 hours apart and the second meal was a struggle. I tried my best and I'm sort of back to eating til I'm full, maybe a tad over to get toward the extra protein but not chasing the number.

Agreed, some of the amounts listed I think I could comfortably two, maybe even three days off those amounts.

And I too wish I had started in my 20's before I dug such a big hole with the dumpster diet for the last 35 years. I would imagine things would work better and do better with a much cleaner canvas.

On days I work, they urge me to have lunch or I will surely starve to death. 😀 So I usually have a four egg omelet cooked in butter with pepperoni and added butter and sometimes cheese. I call it my egg pizza. On most of the rest of the days, I eat Omad. I've done a four day fast three times over the years. Usually it's a 48 give-er take hour fast when the urge strikes me.

And I too wish I had skipped the years of Dumpster diet. I blame Mom. She always said to Clean your plate. And I did, no matter how high I piled it. 🤪

Yesterday we threw a graduation party for my son, and we had about 100 people in attendance whom we fed.

We had a meat and cheese tray. ✔️
We had baked chicken ✔️
We had an italian baked chicken (it was lemon and herb and absolutely delicious) ✔️
We had a fruit tray. (passable)
We also had a salad bowl. (less passable due to ranch dressing).

I partook of the above.

We also served...

Mac n Cheese. 👎
Rigatoni. 👎
Pizza. 👎
Cupcakes, cookies, and a cake. 👎

I did not partake of those.

I just checked my enlistment/discharge paperwork from the 80's.....

Enlisted 73" 130 lbs

Discharged 73" 165lbs

I'm OMAD, and I usually eat 2lbs of beef or 8-9 eggs with 1/2 lb bacon in an hour window but

there are times I'm still hungry so lately been eating that extra this past week but not losing

any weight.
