Welcome to our Carnivore / Ketovore / Keto Online Community!

Welcome to Carnivore Talk! An online community of people who have discovered the benefits of an carnviore-centric ketogenic diet with the goal of losing weight, optimizing their health, and supporting and encouraging one another. We warmly welcome you! [Read More]

I’ve noticed several newcomers to this lifestyle tend to get confused about what they can eat or get bored with just eating the same old thing over and over and then there’s some that just don’t have much imagination around food and in the kitchen.

Well this is a thread for everyone to post what they eat each day.

It doesn’t matter if it’s something you eat day in and day out or if it’s something that’s unique but still in the spectrum of carnivore, post it up. It may help inspire someone to stick with their diet plan and reach their goals by introducing something new to their diet.

So, What did you eat today?

At noon I ate some smoked chuck roast

and then we went to a friends wedding and the food was BBQ!

Big win on that one. I had a big plate of brisket and burnt ends and then went back for more burnt ends. Dessert was little smoked cheesecake cup thingies. I also had a couple of those.

Yesterday I cooked some hamburgers in my cast iron skillet. I used a combination of butter and tallow in the pan. I kept the used fat and used it to cook 8 scrambled eggs today. Wow, what flavors. The eggs weren’t pretty but the flavor was rich.

Last nite 1.75 lbs ground brisket with some clean sauerkraut (to help fixing my gut) after temptation got me with cashews & pistachios.

Last night's pork roast turned out really well. I nibbled some of that for lunch. Egg for breakfast and chuck steak for dinner. I made some ice cream with allulose mid-day so I had a bit of that too

Yes I also make carnivore ice cream from time to time with allulose. It's just heavy cream, allulose and some flavoring like instant coffee or pure vanilla extract. It's the best ice cream in the world. No thickeners, no gums, no chemicals, just 3 ingredients.

I had a NY Strip today, and realized it's been a while since I cooked a steak at home. With the wife burned out on steak I've been coming up with alternatives (or she just fends for herself and I make something quick and easy).

2 brats, a burger patty and some spam.

4 pickle slices

1 Deschutes "Black Butte Porter, N.A."

A spoonful of L-rueteri yogurt.

Yesterday I had a slab of ribs slow on the grill. This evening, Had a pound of ground beef with blue cheese and a home grown mater.

Slow cooked beef oxtail for lunch

I like ox tail. Luckily not everyone else likes it. So when one of my neighbors butcher, I sometimes get the tail. and other parts.

Oxtail - I've never tried it. Sounds unique.

I hit up the NY Strips last night. Was even still eating it when the live stream started, lol.

I've wanted to try some oxtail myself since becoming carnivore but can't afford it in my area, plus it is very hard to find in the stores. For the prices they ask for ox tail I'll just eat a NY strip or something close to that.

I found it at my local Asian market. It was something like $3.99/lb.

We don't have any Asian markets close-by my parts. The only store that has it at times is our local Meijer store but that is around $10 a pound when they have it. I'll stick with actual muscle meat. Nice 80/20 at our local mini market for $3.49 a pound this month.
