Are you fasting, and if so what are you doing

Hello, Not on purpose, just trying to listen to hunger. I'm not hungry in the morning, drinking coffee (a big favorite). Keeping water handy.

Congratulations, Angela, on your progress. Appreciate your thoughts.

Thank you. I can’t really eat anymore either, I have gone a couple of days without. I think that it the the of our eating, but I love it. Do you drink bulletproof coffee?

Ate twice today.
First meal was eggs and venison sausages.

Then this evening fried catfish. Blue cats to be exact.

Hey Geezy, what did you use for the fish coating. Everything looks delish, next time send me a plate, FEDEX haha 😂

I used pork rind panko. Get you some Mac’s plain pork rinds and run them through a food processor until they are just crumbs. Then use it just like you would corn meal. Dip the catfish in an egg wash and roll it in the panko. I like to let it sit in the fridge for about 15 minutes to a half hour before I deep fry as it helps the breading to stay on better.
I use tallow for my fry oil but bacon grease or lard would work well too.

Hello, I am convinced undereating + willful disobedience are factors. Thank you. I have plenty of egg and other real food to eat. Have to laugh. Today is day 21 and utuber Kent Carnivore just posted a video about how day 21 seems to be a milestone. Well can't deny that. Still, the journey is just starting; do not want to go back; still cranky about going forward. Thanks for being here.

I watched the same video lol. Be cranky if you must, but fight on!

Clean or dirty?

And how long?

I ask just out of curiosity.

Hello Mirands, Have to say it's dirty though I believe the 0 sugar/carb people have fastrt results. Day 23 thinking is better though I fall short of the glory AND my thoughts seem circular. Thanks

Last night I had catfish dipped in butter. Mmmmm. Tonight I had a couple ribeyes. Sad to say but they weren't that good. Probably why they were so cheap. $24 for ribeyes. or two pounds ish.

My egg guy brought me some fresh catfish. I told him I liked it boiled and dipped in butter. He said he wanted to try it but every time he mentioned it, his wife would turn her nose up on the thought. lol

My wife made a dish in the crock pot that had chicken broth, melted cream cheese, shredded chicken, and more. It was a bit thick, almost like a dip or spread. We put it in a bowl with some shredded cheese and I ate it with pork rinds. It was pretty delicious and still carnivore, save for whatever seasonings she used.

Today I picked out a couple flat iron steaks at work and let thaw out. Got them home and tenderized them, thinking they'd be tough as shoe leather. My goodness, They were by far more tender than them ribeyes I had last night. Weird, I know. I will be getting more of them.

fellas, lately i tried to make mixes of my hated dry 80/20 ground beef to make a tastier burgers. Adding minced lard was already a great improvment, but i would have never expected how great they turned out by adding minced liver. Oh gosh, those were good burgers.

I generally just add butter but I’ve heard of many people chopping or grinding up liver to add to their ground beef and they rave about it.

Doesn't butter instantly melts during cooking leaving the ground beef just as sad and dry as it used to be before you added it?

    • "Marching into March with Much Motivation"

For this months challenge, we are going to support each other in our efforts to get up and move. Spring is in the air. The weather is getting better. Get out there and MOVE! Go for walks, hike some trails if they aren't too muddy. Or just make a goal to get on the treadmill or lift some weights more than usual throughout the month. Get in the habit now, and we just might have beach bodies when summer officially hits, lol.

Just like before, we encourage you to check in daily, and share what you have eaten, perhaps a weigh-in if you're willing, and enjoy in some small talk.

The March drawing will be for a 4-pack of Carnivore Bars!

Every Reply in this topic will count as an entry for this month's prize drawing. Back-to-back posts count as 1 entry as a counter to spamming.

Attending Monday night zoom also counts as a bonus entry. Being a supporter of our YouTube channel also gives you an entry.

    • Today is February 1st and marks the first day of "National Fasting February" - and yes, this is a thing. Google it!

For this month's challenge, we are going to support each other in our efforts to practice various forms of fasting throughout the month. The type of fasting you wish to do is entirely up to you. We are going to encourage INTERMITTENT FASTING, that is to put it simply, skipping a meal so that you are only eating 2 meals a day instead of the traditional 3 meals a day. The goal is to enjoy these meals within an 8 hour "feasting window" and then no food in the remaining 16 hours "fasting window" (in which 8 of those hours you should be sleeping).

An example is waking up at 7am, but waiting until 11am-noon for your first meal, and then having dinner at 6-7pm for your 2nd meal. Other people prefer to eat a breakfast, then a mid-day lunch, and skip dinner.

If you want to throw in a 24, 48, or 72 hour fast just to show off by all mean do so, lol.
